Campus Management Launches Branding Campaign
Direct Approach will Highlight Technology’s
Strengths and Real-World Client Success
(Boca Raton, FL - March 8, 2005) Campus Management Corporation,
a leading developer of student information and administrative workflow
management systems, has announced the launch of a new marketing campaign
and re-branding effort. The 16-year old software company’s Web
site has been re-launched this month at www.campusmanagement.com.
“Our heritage has been as the leading provider to the career
and online colleges,” said Tim Gilbert, Vice President of Marketing,
“and we remain a great untold story among traditional institutions.”
Campus Management serves 70% of the largest US-based for-profit higher
education institutions and counts several traditional universities
as clients. “Our job here is to tell the information technology
leaders and up through the president’s offices that they have
a proven alternative to the largely antiquated systems available to
them now.”
Gartner recently recognized the firm in its 'Magic Quadrant' of ERP
suppliers to higher education. The marketing campaign will include
print and online advertising as well as an expansive direct marketing
and events schedule. The thrust of the campaign focuses on three core
messages. Campus Management provides:
- Expertise with multiple campuses offering diverse term, online
and start-stop programs
- Proven solutions appropriate to both small and global post-secondary
institutions
- An approach to technology and services to ensure a more predictable
total cost of ownership
As part of the campaign, the firm will publish an ongoing series
of “Campus Management by the Numbers” proof points. “We
found our prospects are positive towards the brand, but people want
to know you have been there and done that when it comes to ERPs,”
Gilbert stated. “By the Numbers” messages quantify the
current and past successes, such as:
- Number of campuses worldwide using Campus Management software:
850
- Number of students served per day: 500,000
- Number of months to implement 48 campuses for Career Education
Corporation: 18
- Number of staff effectively trained in weeks via an unique ‘just-in-time’
training process at Minnesota Business College: 150
Campus Management’s branding efforts are being orchestrated
in part by Phillip Johnson and Associates (PJA), with offices in Cambridge,
MA and San Francisco, CA. Philip Johnson Associates is a $40 million
advertising and marketing agency serving a roster of clients that
include Akamai, IBM Healthcare & Life Sciences, Boston Scientific,
MRO Software, Progress Software, SSA Global, InnoCentive, Millipore,
Webhire, think3, Perkin-Elmer and Cambridge Trust.
“PJA’s experience with other well-established ERP firms,”
stated Gilbert, “and their resume with other first-tier brands
will help us get our story told with the kind of frankness and integrity
this markets expects. We all agreed from the start, Campus Management
is a company that cares about outcomes and results and we need to
share our specific capabilities and accomplishments in no uncertain
terms.” Founded by President and CEO David Meek in 1988, Campus
Management has been self-funded since its inception, and now has more
than 200 employees at its Boca Raton, FL headquarters.
