Education Management Corporation Licenses Campus Management
Corporation’s Campus2000™
Campus Management’s Software Solutions
will Help Enhance EDMC’s Evolution as an Educational Provider
(Boca Raton, FL- September 2, 2004) – Campus Management
Corporation announced that Education Management Corporation (EDMC)
has licensed Campus Management’s Campus2000™ product family
to help enhance its administrative processes.
Education Management Corporation is among the largest providers of
private post-secondary education in North America, based on student
enrollment and revenue, with over 58,000 students as of fall 2003
at 67 primary campus locations in 24 states and two Canadian provinces.
EDMC education institutions offer a broad range of academic programs
in the media arts, design, fashion, culinary arts, behavioral sciences,
health sciences, education, information technology and business, culminating
in the award of associate's through doctoral degrees. EDMC has provided
career-oriented education for over 40 years, and its education institutions
have more than 150,000 alumni.
“ As industry and technology continue to evolve, so does the
sophistication of the educational programs we offer,” said John
R. McKernan, EDMC’s CEO. “We’re constantly identifying
the emerging demands of the marketplace, then developing and refining
educational curricula to meet them. It’s why our graduates succeed
in so many disciplines that require creative thinking, teamwork, and
leadership skills. When our graduates succeed, so do the businesses
that employ them.”
Campus Management products help EDMC keep up with that evolutionary
growth. By managing most aspects of workflow functions in the higher
education setting, Campus Management’s Campus2000 Ô content-specific
software allows institutions to manage their operations more effectively.
On the heels of its receipt of the prestigious Microsoft 2003 ERP
Solution Developer of the Year Award, Campus Management’s recognition
by Education Management Corporation underscores its ability to execute
and provide operational excellence to career colleges. It also positions
Campus Management advantageously to fulfill its corporate vision,
as the firm moves to convert for-profit schools that currently use
other, less operationally efficient ERP solutions to Campus2000.
“This is a milestone event in the history of Campus Management,
which solidifies our dominance of the for-profit higher education
market,” notes David Meek, Campus Management’s Chief Executive
Officer. Campus Management will provide licenses and implementation
services. “Campus Management now has 7 of the top 10 companies
that offer career education as customers. This is truly an exciting
time for us all.”
